Then again I've probably written >50% of everything there is of them, considering the size of that work. Yeah, "oddly" is a good word. It's common to focus on what I think of as the positive aspects of Mephiro and just sort of ignore the negative ones; which means ignoring a very large part of Mephisto's personality. =/ He's a manipulative egotistical douchebag: while I can see why that doesn't look like something appealing to work with for a ship, it would be way more fun to see someone take up that challenge rather than "soften him" to fit into a more conventional relationship.
I kinda hoped to inspire people to do that by showing that it is possible, but so far meh, nothing. x'/ I'm still not completely sure what to make of Mephisto, but he leans heavily towards the villain side of the cast in my mind.

I really like them, too. They've been around for a while, and already have the kind of interesting stories behind them (and between them, judging by certain families' behaviour) that we see the young 'uns creating in the present. I wouldn't mind trying to write something centered around the Myou Dha. All the families - Houjo, Shima, Miwa, Suguro - seem very distinct and fun to work with. It surprised me that Tatsuma/Shirou was a thing, at first, but I can totally see that working - many similarities between them, for sure, and they would have such an interesting influence on each other.
Hmh, I'm a storyteller more than a visual artist. It's just a better medium for my imagination, both input- and output-wise. ^_^' I've been through your thread in the Fan Works section, and I love the humorous touch
and Saburouta's freckles gotta love those freckles. Yukio could use some of that to gain perspective on his situation?
Or just add a few more degrees minus to his icy, disapproving glare. He reads gags and comedy, he should be able to see the fun in it...? x')
