So, Rin made things explode with his eyes' flash again, therefore it's most likely it's him who made Jackass explode in the last chapter. Yuri also thinks that too.

I was about to say that we also have the confirmation that Satan didn't possess Yukio's eye, because now he possessed other people. But, we haven't seen him in Yukio's eye since he appeared in other people. So I guess it's not impossible that he went from Yukio's eye, to other people, and then eventually go back to Yukio. But I'll go meta here and say it would be strange writting if that were the case. So I'd say Satan being the only thing since the start to be responsible for the blue flame in Yukio's eye is still not proven wrong, but it is becoming unlikely storywise.

Before this past-story arc, Mephisto said " The reality Okumura-sensei need to see isn't in the past. ", and we were wondering why. Until now it seems the answer is fairly boring --- Yukio was hardly mentioned in the past story and everyone (except Jackass) was too busy to notice whether there is anything unexpected on Yukio.

I wonder if we still have the chance to see how Yukio's eye became like this in the past-story arc (I guess there are only 1 or 2 chapters remain), or if we were misled by Lucifer's infamous "hidden secret of your birth" . Maybe the mechanism of the eye originated when Yukio was born, but the mechanism was too immature to notice that nobody was really aware of it before he fought Toudou?

Yeah, Lucifer's ominous statements seem like a complete misdirect. There's very little special about Yukio's birth other than that he was able to survive because he is fireproof.

The eye thing is also confusing. Whether or not he was born with it, it implies that Yukio can partially host Satan's power. But the point is moot because he was (and is) too weak to handle the power.

At the moment, Yukio is getting everything he wanted. He was able to knife the Illuminati in the back, stole powerful weapons, got a healed arm, and is sure he's a fireproof human who can't be possessed. I can't help but feel like this is narratively unsatisfying. He's benefited from his defection and betrayal of Rin. We need him to doubt that decision if the sibs are to reconcile.

So, a few possibilities:
- he realizes that this isn't enough to kill demons like Lucifer or Mephisto, and decides to go further for power (e.g. trying to take Rin's demon heart). Things go badly from here on.
- the healing cells in his arm spread and/or he relies on Satan's protection too much, conditioning his body to be more tolerant to demon power, until he gets possessed or develops the dormant powers that could never manifest before. Things go badly from here on.
- he discovers the spirit of Christmas past, present and future who show him what a jerk he's been and he decides to change his ways.

I guess we still have a long way to go before the reconciliation. We need a Rin-Yukio debate and/or Shiemi-Yukio debate before Yukio himself changes his mind. That will be a good chance for character development.

On the other hand, I think Yukio will still have the power-up in the end. If there will be a final battle after the reconciliation, Yukio's power is indispensable (like the 1st season anime ending)

At the moment, Yukio is getting everything he wanted. He got a few things, but he still doesn't have what he wants the most; having a positive self-estime, having his brother realise all the hardships he went through, so he can forgive him for letting him suffer alone all these years (the same thing could be said the other way around), having a proof of his father's love, having Shiemi realise he loves her and having her love him back. He has none of those things.
What he needs in his character arc, is realise what he wants the most and how to acheive it, but first and foremost, he needs to stop thinking he doesn't deserve it.
Right now, he seems to be on the road to become a martyr. He doesn't seem to want forgiveness or reconciliation. He just seems to want to do what he thinks needs to be done to save everyone, but himself.
To change his mind I think he'll need to be put in a situation where what he wants the most is within reach and/or the people he wants to protect needs help that he can give, without him thinking the best thing he can do for them is to stay away.
To solve his self-estime problem, he needs to feel needed. So far, most of the time, he felt like people don't need him or are better off without him or that it's him who needs their help.
What would be interesting story-wise is if he ends up in a situation where people needs his help, but not the type of help he thought. As in, people doesn't need him to use his newly aquired guns, but they need him to do something he could have done all this time when he thought he was useless or even a burden. So he realise that what he needed wasn't more power.
