The Miyama-Uguisu Mansion Incident
« on: November 15, 2012, 11:20:47 PM »

The short story "The Miyama-Uguisu Mansion Incident" in "Time Killers" is a prequel to the Blue Exorcist Story.
There are many familiar faces. For example the character Night looks exactly like Rin.
What do you think about the "Mansion Incident"?

You can read it here:

In my mind, I really enjoyed the short story and I like the sad story about Night.

I was kinda shocked by not!Shiro. He seems nice for a moment and then... ow. :-\

Night looks like an older and more confident version of Rin. I like to think this is what Rin could become if he makes it as a professional exorcist. :) He also kinda reminded me of Train from Black Cat, both in looks and personality. I wonder if Kazue was inspired by that.

I'm kinda saddened now, I mean yea I've read the mumi, but I really wanna read her other stories. Not to mention own them.
Come to find out Time Killers actually has a German translation. So there's German and Japanese. :I The 2 languages on my bucketlist to learn, but 2 languages I don't speak at this moment.
I mostly just quietly stalk things. Don't mind me.

It's been translated in French and Spanish as well. I'm still hoping for an English version...

Actually, I wonder what they're waiting for.

When you say translated, you mean scanlated or licensed?

Licensed. I've seen them all in webshops. The French version has actually been sitting in my local bookstore for over a year (the French are fast when it comes to manga. As a general rule, they will publish new series or works months/years before the English pick it up).

I could translate German into (not perfect) English or give some help if anyone wants to learn German. Or just wants to understand a manga with german translation  ;)

I can translate from French, but there's no way I'm scanlating a whole volume.

Maybe we should all just send a mail to Viz to ask them to get on with it. And I'd like the artbooks too, pretty please, thank you.

I really loved this story. Night was just awesome. The back story just awesome. Everything was awesome. lol
and I like Monaka for some reason more than Shimi.
but it's kinda sad how none of her bunny related stories came through.xD
she had a short bunny hero story
a ninja bunny story
and believe it or not a bunny as a bounty hunter story
and I always like to search for hidden bunnies in AnE. There are alot of bunnies to find! :D

Last chapter we had a bunny balloon (which hasn't exploded)
and Takara's puppet looks to me like a bunny.xD
I remember a ch. where Yukio and Rin as kids had those name tags in form of a bunny.
and Kato is showing herself in a bunny costume on the end of every manga volume.
And of course Usamaru
I'm gonna try to find more. :)

I remember reading the "Bunny Hero" story somewhere... It was one full colour chapter about a kid-rabbit whose parents are superheores and his mum leaves him alone at home while she goes fight crime and when she comes back he accidentally beat his dad because he got scared and thought he was a monster. I think it was called "Usa-Boy".

Correct me if I read the wrong story. I think it was included in "Time Killers" along the "Miyama-Uguisu Mansion Incident".

I also managed to once find the first chapter of "Robo to Usakichi" which, according to wikipedia was released between 2005 and 2007. If someone has been able to read the remaining chapters I would very much thank you for a link or at least if you know how many chapters they are.

Edit: I found an blog where it says "Robo to Usakichi" was compile din 5 volumes: http://fullbring.blogspot.com.ar/2009/07/license-wishlist-wednesday-manga-of.html

@Toraii212
Mephisto has got a bunny keychain on his phone.

@HeavenlyArcher
No, no, no. You're right. "Usa-Boy" is in Time Killers. (I don't like it, though.)

I'd never heard of "Robo to Usakichi" before. But that bunny guy appears in another Time Killers-story as well.

But the best stories are still the "Incident" and "Hoshiota" (Rin reads this story in the anime).

Random informations: There is a timeline at the end of TK. Kato wrote her first story at the age of 19 and the Incident at age 28. Career (24 to 26) : Weekly Jump -> Monthly Sirius -> "Robo to Usakichi" -> breackup -> Jump SQ

I haven't read Hoshiota, what is it about?

Actually, when I search for Time Killers I only find the Incident and Usa Boy.

Argh... Someone needs to pick up those pre-Ao no Exorcist mangas and scanlate them/licence them... I have a mighty need of reading them.
