-a roleplaying thread is a must have :3 it might need to be broken up into more than one thread though, or even have its own board, if it gets popular.

We have one.

i meant a virtual roleplaying thread (srry i should have clarified)
Oops, I misread.

In any case, roleplaying threads go in Forum Games. I'm not sure what you mean with virtual.

-i like the basic layout of the forum, but i do agree it needs more spunk. as for the backround(or whatever you call the area currently inhabited by blue stripes), i like the look of this:
    http://www.ao-ex.com/img/bg_pattern.gif
its the backround pattern of the official ao-ex movie site. if we decide to use it, we would probably make the pattern larger on our site than they have it on thiers. i also like the idea of seasonally changing the backround with good fanart.

Are we allowed to use it?

Even if we are, I'm not sure how to do that... someone would probably have to edit the template.
http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=2228

oh i didn't think about copyright. probably shouldn't use it then.
and now i see how the forum themes work. we might be able to find someone who can write code for a backround(there are tons of people on tumblr who write code for themes, though it might be a little challenging to find someone for our purposes), or we could just keep a look out for a better theme.

Also, you know the banner? (the one with anime rin and yukio on it, you're using it for the facebook site) its fine how it is, but i was wondering if we could make it a bit fancier or even change the art. it just seems a little plain.

The silent smiling demon made it for me. We're still working on improving it.

I like the idea of having Rin and Yukio on there, but suggestions for the background are welcome (suggestions for new banners are too, I'm just not sure if I'll be able to follow up on them).

i guess virtual is the wrong word. what i mean is online roleplaying. its very common on tumblr. i'll try and make a thread for it, see how it goes.

i'm thinking of cleaning up and coloring a group sketch for the banner. rin and yukio are definitely a must for the banner, but i think we should include the other main characters as well. here is a link to the group pic im going to attempt to clean:

if somebody else can clean and color it before me, feel free. also, im also making it for my own artistic development so i don't mind if its not used.

^ Sounds cool. I can't guarantee I'll use it on the forum, but I'm sure we can find a place for it on the site which I will totally make, some day.

maybe I should put back my mangafox's avatar.
edit: the problem with this website is the avatars are so small you cant use detailed pictures.

I changed the settings to allow for slightly bigger avatars (100 x 100 instead of 65 x 65).

I think that's about normal for most forums.

I noticed that on the post count titles "esquire" is still used instead of "exwire".

edit:
Here are some FAQ suggestions:

My tab still says “welcome” when I am not on the welcome page.
Go back to the welcome page and click on the “go to the forum” button, rather than any other link.

When I post something, the site takes me back to the list of threads, so I have to click on the thread again to check on my post.
There is an option to prevent this in your profile options. Go to "Profile" -> "Modify profile" -> "Look and layout" -> check "Return to topics after posting by default"

I have a post I want to delete.
Mark your post with “delete” with Edit, then wait for the Administrator to delete it.

Can you make "last page"/"first page", and maybe "navigate to page" buttons in the threads? Those would make it a bit easier for navigating the site on a phone or a tablet.

Is there a way to automatically get to new posts?

I would have to look into that.

For new posts, use "Show unread posts since last visit" on top of the page.

Alternatively, you can use "View the most recent posts on the forum" (under Forum Stats) to see all the new posts next to each other.

Is there a way to see all of the posts that I have thanked, or which of my posts have been thanked by others? I want to read the content, not just see the stats/numbers.

^ I'm afraid not. It seems something has gone wrong with the package, and I can no longer change the settings in the Admin panel.

I can try and install it again, but there's a good chance the current Thank You's will be lost.

(This is supposed to help, but I can't find the Sources/Admin.php file anywhere. The modification has also been removed from the SMF website. :-\
