I got a 403 permission denied error a little while ago on the main page, but it's resolved itself now (as you can see.)

Time to change the security questions again.

I gotta say, I love this "Delete account and all posts" feature.

Do you know how much work it is to remove a bunch of spam posts one by one?

It's so much easier to just remove the bot and all his posts with him.

Must be.

For a moment back there I was trying to see the link between the two statements. I guess there's none really.

There is. They are both about spambots.

...

I see. ¬ ¬

I thought the security question was an admin thing. I don't remember answering one when I made an account.

How about image captcha instead of just text and audio? I heard it works well.
Though even I fail it sometimes.
Like "select all images with sandwiches" = Failed because I didn't think a hamburger is a sandwich.
Or "select all images with mountains" = Failed because I thought an hill was a mountain. (My standard for "mountain" is pretty low thanks to Mount Royal.)

Right now, I use both captcha and security questions.

Security questions are things like "Who is Rin's twin brother?"

There are several questions, every user gets one at random (on top of the captcha). But even then, bots will get in after a while, so once that happens you have to go and change the questions.

I wasn't using questions yet when you signed up.

I hadn't heard of captcha with images before... I don't think the forum as it is supports them.

It's too bad if the forum can't support them.

If you want to see some image captcha, you can go try to make a post on 4chan.

I hope this isn't annoying, but I think there's spambots here again. The main threads don't seem to have any of them, but they look like they're in the Introduction and help threads. I hope I'm not bothering you, I just wanted to let you know.

Yeah, sorry, I just got back from holidays.

I cleaned up, should be better now. Don't hesitate to use 'report to moderator' when you see another one.

Hope you had a pleasant holiday!

Yup, I was trying to report as many as I could see, but there was a lot (also didn't want to click the threads for viagra bots while at work).

Is there a way to report a user instead of having to report as spam all the posts?
