Join the club moonlandian and Wikkel! Welcome to the land of women who sound like men because we post extensive analyses.

Also, I guess the only one I ever had had my doubts about was earthforge. Like, even back on mangafox. Seriously.

I think Anya thought I was a guy once...

That's probably because of my recent preference for using silly gifs. And I was requested to stop swearing so incessantly.

^ Blightstrider only figured it out recently.

I thought you were a guy too at first, until you started talking about your love life. It's the physics, I think... and your general posting style.

(People often mistake me for a boy too, but not on this site for some reason. I guess most of them already knew before coming here.)

haha I'm  quite used to it by now. I get it on Youtube quite a bit.

I'm not sure what I'm doing that comes off as masculine online. Maybe my tomboyish ways reach further out than I thought

What makes you guys consider someone's gender anywho?
For me it's usually the username is all I ''consider''.

I try to guess based on the user name, the avatar (if there is one), the posting style and siganture (again, if there is one).

Having a signature that links to yaoi fanfiction is a dead giveaway but that's rare to find so not a good method to determine gender.

NeeNee sounds like a girl name to me, moonlandian sounded male.

I picked HeavenlyArcher because I though it sounded female (but I sometimes think I failed).

I don't trust avatars and signatures because I see so many people put a favourite of the opposite gender.

I personally find HeavenlyArcher to be feminine and the first time I saw it I was in awe of how beautiful it sounded

themoonlandian seems feminine to me, (maybe because I think moon=female, sun=male?) but it seems to a majority of people it's masculine.
And it seems anyone who has shortened my username to just ''moon'' thinks I'm male, so when people do that I can pretty much trust what gender they think I am.

My method for avatars is this:
Quote
If it is a male character represented on a cute way (ie. chibi) then it's probably a girl.

If it is a mle character represented on a battle way then it can be either.

If it is a female character represented on a "sexy" way, then it's probably a guy.

If it is a female character represented on a not intentionally sexy way, then it's porbaly a girl.

Problem is, I usually browse the forum on my mobile, so avatars are usually left out of the part I zoom in to read and then, when I enter on my destokp computer, I just come straight and answer.

So, I mainly judge for the "speech pattern" and if they are into shipping and how they ship (I have seen men ship, it's not only a fangirl thing).

Hey, just out of curiosity, how did you came up with your username?, mine is from a Bleach Kido chant...

To put it simply (or else it'd be long and boring to read):
When I was younger I made an imaginary world called and one of the countries in it was called ''Moonlandia'' since I was such a loner - oh wait... I still am... 8D and it just took on different ''forms'' as I grew older.
moonlandian is people who live in the country (obviously) so yeah - username behold!
And I preferably use it wherever I can. The amount I'm attached to it makes myself wonder 'why?'

I wouldn't have known that since I got bored of Bleach o-o

Makes sense.

Well, I would have missed the spell too, wasn't it because it was Urahara using it, and he fights so rarely and I love him so much I just re-read every scene with him a thousand times:

My username comes from my middle name 'Wikkelsøe'. Ø isn't in the English alphabet so I just use 'oe'. It's pronounced like ö.

^ It's your real name? Cool.

Damn, I was almost pronouncing it right. I read it as /o//e/ rather than /ø//e/ (phonetic).

It does have an /e/ at the end, right?

/o/ = as in rope
/e/ = as in take

^ The last e is actually silent so you can just ignore it. Danish is weird like that.

@Archer Ah okay I see  :D

I was pronouncing that last part as just ''o'' as in ''go'' and that was it .-. I have no idea why my brain didn't actually include the 'ee' like a normal person probably would have

Hahahah xD
anyone who knows me doesnt doubt that

on the internet I'm genderblind until they say out loud what gender they are.

maybe I should put back my mangafox's avatar.
edit: the problem with this website is the avatars are so small you cant use detailed pictures.
