Battle Arena

This is another game. Basically, you pit two characters against each other and discuss who would win.

Duel 1: Shura vs Shiro.
Characters as they were in the beginning of the series. The battle ground is an open field.

It's a shame we never say Shiro fight. If he's anything like Yukio with his guns, Shura would have a very hard time avoiding his attacks.

Then again, we haven't really seen what Shura can do, either. And if he ever runs out of ammo, he's toast.

Whether that reason was for knowledge, martial prowess or command ability is still not really known.

As they are now (chapter 39). Both have their swords. The setting is a forest.

^ Do you think he could beat a demonized Rin though?

I mean, those flames can vaporize steel beams in a split second, and cover a whole mountain. I know Arthur is rather fast, but it's not nearly the same as attacking a sitting duck like the IP. And I doubt he can do that attack very often.

My thoughts exactly - up till the latest chapter and Urahara. It reminds me of when I used to hate Chuck Norris, watching him in anything made me furious for no reason. And then the Chuck Norris jokes started and my hatred vanished. That's how Urahara works with Arthur - he's an antidote. Now I can kinda see the better side of Arthur.


Still.

Rin>Arthur.

Well, not now, but ultimately, after maturing and gaining experience, he'd definitely win. 'Sides, Rin also beat the IK with one hit, it was very difficult for him, but it was his first try after all.

Eh, I can't really say anything and not be considered biased here.

It does not really work to Rin's credit, that Arthur is an expert demon slayer, who we have yet to even see go full-out. He has years of experience in both live-combat and demon-sword use ahead of him, not to mention we saw him take down Shura (another demon-sword user) rather easily.

So yeah, this one is clearly in Arthur's favour. He can beat Rin as he is now, and can probably beat him easily when he is in 'berserk' non-thinking demon mode. This stuff is kinda in his job description.
