^ I agree with the kids - maybe not all kids could see them, or they don't acknowledge them as demons. My parents tell me I used to speak to a ghost of a little boy by the side of our house. And I know for a fact my imaginary friends were never human and they followed me to other places.
But yeah, now that tardar points that out, 10% seems more likely. I'd say people who live in places more superstitious would increase the rate of sightings as well; more modernized places that shun those believes would cause it to drop there.

In a class of about 40 people only Godaiin and Rin could see them. And that was with the increased activity caused by the miasma from the artificial gate.

That does sound like a pretty good question.

But from where comes the idea that children can see demons? Weren't Yukio and Izumo bullied because they were the only ones to see them? And the children in Rin's kindergarten didn't think of demons as a normal thing, either.

But Rin was four in the kindergarten flashback and the other kids clearly weren't used to scary creatures like him.

Is there any indication at all that children without a mashou would be able to see demons? Filler scenes in the anime don't count.

No I think this is more head-cannon; but for Rin: His powers were sealed so I think that factors.
And for the kids themselves; I don't see how seeing demons would make them immune to Rin. Really, if they could see the demons, they were probably minor or not the harming-type; things that parents can usually get the convinced to believe aren't there.

It would have to stop before their memories were fully formed.... I would say 2-3 is a closer bet.

According to what we know I would atm think that people who have mashous are only seeing demons but that sounds cool theory if you can see as a child them and then forget. Would maybe explain why sometimes babies just cry out-of-nowhere haha ;P

But I agree more to low procents, it would be hard to not notice and test it by science if it is a common thing....

Maybe children are just better at noticing the sounds demons make even though can't see them? Like Hobgoblins in the attic or Coal Tar flying into walls? Adults would just brush stuff like that off without thinking about it, but children have a better fantasy and are therefore easily influenced.

Well I have a question for you, I was seeing the previews of the volumes when I get to one page that I thought I haven't seen when it was released and as I thought indeed the page was different! Why's that?
