Awesome! Heh, Yukio's has guns on it. I think Renzou's is interesting. What does it mean by affliction omniscience? I love Koneko and Shimi's though, they are my favorite.

Let's list what we see in the emblems. Can anyone translate what's written in them?

Rin:
- kurikara
- two flame horns with two red pupils, which looks like they were two red-eyed demons
- a key
- a black shape which doesn't look like anything but has something like a flame tail

Yukio:
- two pistols shooting blue flames or smokes, the smokes have a green ball each
- two crossed bullets
- a test-tube with red liquid
- a pair of scales with bible on one side and something like green plants on the other
- a dartboard
- a crescent

Shiemi:
- basically it's a plant and flowers ornament
- a circle of thorns
- in the middle there's white and red something that reminds me flower petals or flames or symbols
- a leaf with  greenman in it

Mephisto:
- the exorcist symbol in the middle
- two hourglasses, one upside-down
- a clock showing midday
- tacky pink cloth
- ornamented golden heart with probably Mephisto himself in both his human and not-human versions
- ... and lot of hearts
- supporting the heart are baby angel and a demon with bat wings
- latin-like text about god's sons and mercy (probably)

Bon:
- it's probably full of Buddhist symbols, like that golden circle with arrows
- a sword (kurikara?)
- a flame, I think, surrounding the sword and the circle like they were in a (smoking) vase

Renzou:
- oh my, a girl in a rabbit costume
- pink hearts
- pink flowers
- something in the background that looks a little bit like a compass
- "affection & omniscience". I wonder what "omniscience" is doing there.

Konekomaru:
- two cats, one with a green ball instead of a tail
- compassy thingy with text in a green rectangle
- flowers

I think the scale in Yukio's emblem is the most interesting. I think I said before that it probably has something to do with his heritage (half human/exorcist-half demon). Wouldn't that mean he was supposed to be conflicted about his demon side from the start? It's nice to know that it's not something Kazue just randomly came up with.
If that thing in Konekomaru's emblem is supposed to be a compass, then wouldn't it be related to his ability to guide people in combat?

We still need someone to translate the Japanese lettres/words. All the boys but Shima have something written in their emblems.

^ The scales on Yukio's reminded me of the "scales of justice" on first look. But it probably does have more to do with the doctor meister.

I find it interesting that Shima has lotus flowers on his as well as the writing. What does it mean by Affliction Omniscience. Affliction of what? He's not omniscient. At least...not righgt now. IS that forshadowing or something?
And it is affliction, not affection.

It actually says Affliction & Onniscienta (is that a case form for onnisciente? I mean it would be pronounced onniscienta, but I have forgotten all my case forms for latin and I am only guessing that Italian is very similar. Onnisciente is Italian, btw, not Latin. It does still mean omniscient though. Affliction is english though.). But there is a little green & there in between the words. Don't know if that makes any kind of difference.
I think that is his monk staff behind the girl.

I think it is cute how Shiemi's looks kind of like a heart too.

The kanji on Konekomaru's IS for "cat"

All I could figure out for Yukio's is the backwards E is a modifier "yo".

But the scale is weighing a Bible and some green stuff. I think the green goo could be seen as something demon-like, so the scale would be indicating which side he leans to. Could have something to do with his Docter Meister too.

Bon's real name is Ryuuji. Ryuu means dragon, right?

It's hard to make out, but it does look like the kanji Rin's name is written with, thus it's Phosphor again.

The kanji in Yukio's emblem is just 'snow'.
Though, in the actual picture the small lines above the backwards E are seriously hard to make out...

Err, so in the end they all just have the first kanji of their name thrown in (Konekomaru as well). Also kinda explains why there aren't any funky characters in Shiemi's and Mephisto's emblems- Shiemi's name is written in Hiragana and Mephisto's in Katakana.
... And Shima had to throw in a bunny, so there was no space for anything anymore. °3°

But now I'm the one with a question- what does that thing above Rin's and Bon's name-kanji say? Or is that some super-cool religious sign?

Those two cats on Koneko's emplem: The black one is Kuro, I guess. The brown one is unknown. I'd really like he will get this cat as his familiar.

Just adding Shura's emblem to check out. Hers is so badass. I think the latin text is "Ez juvenes moriten". No idea what is means - "the early death"?

I bought vol 9 yesterday (for a plane trip), and I could not make out any of the little detail words on it!

Ez juvenes moriten- I know juvenes is definitely "young". I think the rest might just be bastardized. Ez = es? Es means "you are".
iuvenis es mors = you are young death. iuvenis esse mortem=to be young death. Kato might be playing it pretty loose here.


I have no idea on the kanji. It doesn't look like it's for Karakura 霧隠 and Shura is only in katakana. Apparently the tattoo on her chest is Karakura, though.

edit- Hmm, apparently Shura means "defender of mankind" and is of Russian origin. Interesting.
