but yeah, now that you mention it, he did have this shady look going on, i just assumed it was a rought draft to their personalities, like paku looks overly shy and timid, i mean, she's reserved, but usually smiling. then takara was a girl, so i mean, i didn't take it so seriously.

I don't like the tattoo either, although it might've been interesting if there had been some dramatic backstory to it - like maybe if it was a burn from Satan or something.

I actually have a headcannon that Rin's eyes are brown until he released his powers; but that gets debunked from colour images of when he was a kid. But meh, I still like it.

Actually now that I think about it, that's a pretty awesome concept. I approve of your headcanon!

Shiemi suits blonde better than pink methinks. We have Shima to fill the nonsensical-hair-colour role, plus there's a reason for it in his case.
It's funny that of all the characters, the one who went through the least alteration from concept to canon is Mephisto. He just looks slightly rattier.

I agree. Thinking of how Shiemi is now and adding pink hair, even changing lengths and hair styles, looks extremely odd to me. Actually, the old sketch of her almost makes me think of a child Shima and Izumo could have o.e Too bad I don't ship it xD
And I'm happy there is a reason for his case - I prefer the more realistic side to hair colours.

I do believe she's a mix of Shiemi's mom and grandma.
The mom has the pipe, and both of them wear kimonos.

I laways though his eyes were dark purple in those first chapters because there are some early color spreads (like in the 2010/12? calendar) where his look kind of purple and Shiemi's were blue instead of green as now.

Also,pinkhair!Shiemi reminds me of a character from an earlier manga. I think it was science fiction themed, the protagonist looked alot like Yukio. I remember a pic of the girl and not!Yukio riding a flying bike.
