However, if Rin manages to keep a clear head while using his powers, he should at least be able to put up a good defence. Surrounding himself in blue flames would make him all but inapproachable, and I'm pretty sure Rin would be fast enough to evade Angel's long-range attacks if he can see them coming. So then it becomes a matter of who can get to the other first: Angel breaking through Rin's defence, or Rin succeeding to get his hands (or flames) on Angel. If Rin can extend his flames further than Angel had anticipated, he can surprise him and win the fight; if not, it will become a cat-and-mouse game, and then Rin is at the disadvantage again since his attention span isn't up to par (even though his stamina can probably outlast Angel's).

Re-reading those anime reviews made me laugh all the way through again. Your writing's just awesome. Way more enjoyable than the episodes themselves.
I also wrote a short impression of Episode 20 here.
Though I have to admit I kinda liked the first episodes. Especially the ones with Kuro and the leaper were really good... but once they dropped the manga storyline, everything just went to hell. Seriously, Rin running around killing people? Yukio blindly following the first suspicious stranger he meets in his mad quest to destroy the Order? Not to mention the whole "Hey, I suddenly noticed I'm a demon too" thing? Yeah, no. I don't think I'll ever get used to this. I respect the people who enjoyed the anime, but I'll never be able to see the last part as anything more than a bad fanfic.

One of the things we haven't heard much about yet in the manga is the past of Izumo. We know she was bullied at school for seeing demons, and then there's this little flashback:
What do you think it means? Could the white girl be a demon? (In fact, she reminds me of the snake sisters more than anything.) Would Izumo be the girl/woman or the little kid?
And when will we learn about what happened there?

I mean, those flames can vaporize steel beams in a split second, and cover a whole mountain. I know Arthur is rather fast, but it's not nearly the same as attacking a sitting duck like the IP. And I doubt he can do that attack very often.
