Everything Else / How to get a cuban link to lay flat without looping back on itself?

I just started venturing into making my own jewelry and decided as a cuban link for my first project. I have made two so far and each time have gotten better although it's not where I would like it to be. The biggest issue I'm having is when I start to twist it, I can't get the links to stay twisted when I remove it from the vice... it just unwraps and doesn't hold it's shape.

How can I avoid this? Maybe I'm not twisting them tight enough? My wire is 1.6mm and the inner diameter of my links is around 3.4mm so they're very tight before twisting but still have a bit of room to move. I should also mention that I am annealing the chain every few twists to help it go a bit easier.

Everything Else / How far should I go for a debt consolidation loan?

So me and my partner recently purchased a house, and one of the main aims currently is to try reduce our monthly outgoings, to try out more towards a rainy day savings. One of my options is consolidating all my debts in to one loan to reduce the payments, but how far should I go with this? The main debt would be the credit card, but should I consolidate this with things I have on finance such as car, phone etc? TIA

Really debating getting a fully "iced" out Patek from Puretime. What are your opinions on them and do you think it is a bad idea despite the fact that my lifestyle can go to match. (My company does very well and am able to afford such a watch). I just can't justify spending that much on a real one, but would like one to wear occasionally.

And no I don't drive a Prius...

Hello guys,

My friends and I created our own brand. We've been hard working and are about to release our next collection to the public.

One of my friends already made a custom necklace (925 silver) which cost him 150€.

It looks nice and is pretty big (~3cm).

Obviously I'd like to get my own custom necklace (or better, pendant) myself but I am quite lost in the world of jewelry.

Some basic questions:

does setting diamonds in 925 Silver "waste" them?

how about using moissanite instead? Where can I find a jeweler that offer moissanite online?

Any other cool alternatives to diamonds? I want something flashy.

Obviously hard to judge - but what would be a price range? I've seen anything from 300€ - 1000€. But I'd like to remain on a budget friendlier piece.
