I'll try a better scan and when I do the colouring I'll try and fix up the hair, hands....a lot of things.
It'd help if you could point out things...even if I notice them already, when you point out things I know they are at least more important to fix....
I think you have a good grasp on specific features, like eyes, and the manga style (at least to my untrained eye). Its just a matter of studying form and pose and all that jazz.
Are you planning your drawings first with 'skeleton' figures or anything? Your work looks good, but it reminds me of stuff I've seen where the artist consciously recreates official art or whatever. Like, it looks nice and clean but it'd be interesting to see you try something that looks 'looser' if that makes sense. Use looser strokes and rougher lines and get a bit more of your own style going.

But I am aware that all sorts of bad things could happen to people I feel responsible for. I just don't see why that should make me shy away from those responsibilities when they can also bring so much good. Sounds like a pretty sad sort of life to never experience that simply because there's things that can go wrong.
